Internet activist Aaron Swartz commits suicide


Internet activist Aaron Swartz committed suicide. He was accused of stealing 4 million documents, mainly scientific journals and academic papers from MIT and made it publicly available. Authorities claim that Aaron Swartz broke into MIT’s computer network without authorization. If guilty, Aaron Swartz would have faced a fine of $ 4 million and more than 50 years in prison. He got famous for a company he founded called Infogami and for the nonprofit group Demand Progress.
